celestar 8cbe98a3fd (svn r4259) -[multistop] Fix/Feature/Codechange:
1) Improved the road vehicle allocation (aka slotting) for multistop. Stops can now accept unlimited, er... 256, vehicles.
2) Removed the "wait for stop" feature, because it did not work in practise.
3) Slotting now ignores unreachable stations. Uses NPF at the moment because the old pathfinder cannot do it (yet)
4) Now matter how many vehicles approach a station, they will always be distributed evenly over existing stops.
5) Hopefully the last fundamental change to multistop

bjarni aa22bfb178 (svn r3944) -Feature: it's now possible to turn a single unit in a train
control-click on a unit in a train in a depot will make the click unit turn around
	this is useful if you want "normal" engines to act as dualheaded (one each way) or similar
	this only works on single unit units. Multiheaded and articulated engines get a red error box
	this is based on a quick hack peter1138 while I made it network safe and correctly handling of multible unit engines

	Since the standard vehicles do not have any valid wagon replacements, this feature can only be used when using newgrf sets

Darkvater 4014e36aec (svn r3472) - [PBS] Remove from trunk. Anyone interested can still find it in branch/pbs. This reverts revisions r3158, r3140, r3075, r2977, r2674, r2625, r2621, r2529, r2528, r2525, r2524, r2519, r2517, r2516, r2507, r2499. (in conjunction with Tron)
- The only change is that the nsignalsw.grf file is kept and that existing nightlies with PBS signals get those signals converted to combo-signals.

-Codechange: train subtype is now a bitmask
	This allows fast access to info like if it is a wagon or engine and if it is in front and so on

-Trains will now remember the length of stations it visits and sell cars
        when being autoreplaced if they became too long
        -If it needs to remove cars, then it starts from the front and sells
        all it can find until the train is short enough
        -This only works for trains, that knows the station length of the route
        so a full uninterrupted run is needed
        -a train needs 1-2 runs to detect if the shortest station is expanded
        -This feature can be turned on and off in the train replace window
        and each company can have it's own setting
        -NOTE: minor savegame version bump

Darkvater 71fb375f8c (svn r3096) - Feature: 'HOME' icon to saveload dialogs that jumps to the default save/load directory based on the dialog (added icon to openttd.grf, introduced FIOS_TYPE_DIRECT that allows arbitrary directory jumping).
- Fix: on Win32 capitalize the drive-letter in the saveload dialog windows when it is first opened.

ludde 594dd34e84 (svn r2594) Fix: [strgen] Misc updates to the string system.
- Renamed the plural command to "P" instead of "PLURAL". Now write something like this to append an s on plural: {P "" s}. (You can optionally still add an argument index to explicitly specifiy which number that's used)
  - Removed the pluralized cargo strings from the string files. The new method is to use the plural specifier {P}
  - Added support for genders. First add "##gender der das die" on top, then use {G=der} on a cargoname/industry to set the gender, and to switch between genders do something like {G neu neu neue} {STRING}
  - Updated the swedish/english translation with P strings.

ludde dc3ca73bd5 (svn r2580) Change: Added {INDUSTRY} command for printing industry names instead of the old {TOWN} {STRING} way.
- The formatting of the industry name can be controlled with the string STR_INDUSTRY_FORMAT.
Change: Changed several occurences of {STRING1} into {TOWN} to get rid of townnametype being used directly.

hackykid ab9c6f126d (svn r2516) - Feature: [pbs] Implement path-based-signalling. This allows multiple trains within the same signal block, provided their paths dont intersect. For this the block must have all exit and entry signals be pbs signals. Place these by ctrl-clicking 4 times on a normal signal.
- Feature: [pbs] Implement autoplacement of pbs blocks, when a block has an entry and an exit pbs signal, covert the entire block to pbs. Can be turned off in the patch settings.
 - Feature: [pbs] Allow showing of reserved status by making the tracks darker, when the pbs debug level is at least 1.

Darkvater 13c7b2b337 (svn r2391) - Feature: saving games happen in a seperate thread so you no longer will have to wait such a long time (especially handy on bigger maps and multiplayer games). The mouse also changes into the 'ZZZ' state :P. The thread on windows is currently given a little-bit-less-than-normal priority so it should not interfere that much with the gameplay; it will take a bit longer though. Upon the exit of the game any pending saves are waited upon.
- Fix: fixed GetSavegameFormat() so that it takes the best compressor (highest), or a forced one added with the parameter
- Open issues: 
1. Don't attempt to load a game while saving is in progress, it will kick you back to the intro-screen with only the vast ocean to look at.
2. The server is disabled from threaded-saving, but might be enabled in the future.
3. Current implementation only allows 1 additional running thread.
4. Stupid global variables.....grrr

Darkvater e25dfa6e7e (svn r2192) - Add greater control to the 'message options' window. Now you can turn off the telegraphc ticker sound for summarized messages, or turn off news-messages altogether (you get a red blot to notify you though). The [<][>] set the settings in one way, while clicking on the option itself, cycles it. This commit also 'fixes' bugs [1166973], [1121484] and patch [1169930].
- I also changed an order of strings from On, Off to Off, On, so this can be used ingame with the WWT_4 widget type.
- Since the newssettings now take 2 bits per setting (off/summary/on) _news_display_opt is widened to 32 bits and the settings code changed slightly to accomodate for a maximum of 16 message-types.

- Supports trains, road vehicles and ships.
	- Uses A* pathfinding (same codebase as the new ai).
	- Currently unlimited search depth, so might perform badly on large maps/networks (especially ships).
	- Will always find a route if there is one.
	- Allows custom penalties for obstacles to be set in openttd.cfg (npf_ values).
	- With NPF enabled, ships can have orders that are very far apart. Be careful, this will break (ships get lost) when the old pathfinder is used again.
- Feature: Disabling 90 degree turns for trains and ships.
	- Requires NPF to be enabled.
	- Ships and trains can no longer make weird 90 degree turns on tile borders.
- Codechange: Removed table/directions.h.
	- table/directions.h contained ugly static tables but was included more than once. The tables, along with a few new ones are in npf.[ch] now. Better suggestions for a location?
- Fix: Binary heap in queue.c did not allocate enough space, resulting in a segfault.
- Codechange: Rewritten FindFirstBit2x64, added KillFirstBit2x64.
- Codechange: Introduced constant INVALID_TILE, to replace the usage of 0 as an invalid tile. Also replaces TILE_WRAPPED.
- Codechange: Moved TileAddWrap() to map.[ch] 
- Add TileIndexDiffCByDir(), TileIndexDiffCByDir().
